Want More Customers Than You Can Handle?

imagine having more customers than you can handle
Enlarging your pipeline of customers can be one of the most tiring and tedious parts of running your own business. We've compiled a few quick tips to get you started on improving your customer relationships.

Who is Your Customer?

The aim is to find a group of customers who think your product is special. When starting out, it might feel as though you have little to offer and barely any resources. Don’t panic, the key is to focus on a narrow customer base with a specific demographic or a specific need and start creating a raving fan base.
Building Your Customer Pipeline

You’re lucky if a customer comes looking for you when you start up in business. Throughout your life as a business owner, you will need to find your customers. Once you find them, you need to help them understand how you can solve their problem.

Build a list of possible customers (leads) and contacts who you come across in your travels where you could help them or they could help you.

Start hanging out with your customers, understanding everything about their world. By researching your customers, you really get to know now to solve their problems and add value to their lives.

Get to Know Your Customers

Treat every customer as your most important one. Learn their name, their likes and small details, even their pets - it’s about taking the time to understand them and their needs.

Add the information you collect about your customers in a list for easy reference for future discussions. This can help you build trust and a welcoming environment when you speak to them next.
Communication is Key

Always be grateful even if you don't make a sale or the prospect seems to have no interest. This person might just recommend you or you might eventually have another idea that’s worth sharing with your contact listing. You might not meet their needs right now but you might in the future.

Keep them updated with regular contact points - social media, written content, updated websites. It's a small world but you’re not likely to be remembered from meeting someone once. Take the initiative to get their contact details. Send them an email about how it was a pleasure to meet them and a quick summary about your business. Send email updates every month to keep you in their memory but always make sure to include information that would benefit them. Staying in regular contact ensures your business will come to mind first when they notice your kind of service or product.
