Complaints are an unfortunate but very 

real factor that all businesses deal with.

 

Here’s how to turn customer’s negative 

experiences into a positive one and 

have them coming back for more.



Don’t dismiss the problem

Make customer’s complaints feel 

important, appreciated and heard.

 

Show your customers that you are aware 

of the problem and that you’re going to fix it.

Don’t get your emotions involved and end 

up wasting time playing the blame game.

 

Acknowledge the problem, apologise

and find a suitable solution.

 

Before a problem even arises

have a range of solutions that 

you and your team can reach for, 

perhaps a discount or refund.


Keep it honest & convenient

Make doing business with you 

easy, simple and professional.

 

Be available and say yes where you 

can but don’t take on too much.

 

Be able to keep your promises! 

Be upfront and honest if you can’t complete a job.

 

Identify and anticipate the needs 

of your customers so you know exactly 

how to help them out when they need it.

Once again, try to make it as convenient
